Enclosures occur in many different shapes and forms, including electrical fencing, clay or thornbush constructions, and nigh time confinement. Confinement is often used during the night time when carnivores are most active. Which enclosure design is most effective is likely context dependent. Some carnivore species are specialist climbers, whilst other dig their way into enclosures. The enclosure should be constructed with the target carnivore species in mind to achieve the greatest effect.
