Wildlife removal

Wildlife removal implies that the wild animal is either captured and translocated to a new area, or that the animal is killed. Removal could target any individual of the target species in an area non-selectively, or target specific individuals within the population that pose a higher threat than the average individual to livestock and pets - i.e. "problem individuals". Although unselective removal of individuals may be able to reduce attacks on livestock and pets, it could also be completely ineffective if the removed individuals are instantly replaced by new individuals, or they represent a part of the population that does not kill livestock. If the animal is translocated, it is also important to consider the effect at both the capture and release site.
