Sterilisation

The idea to sterilise carnivores is to eliminate the need to provide for young, and thereby reduce predation rates in comparison to breeding animals. One North American study evaluated the effect of sterilising coyotes in order to reduce lamb losses, and found that losses were reduced, but did not cease entirely.
