One study has found that wolves fitted with collars that provided an electric shock as wolves approached a bait site reduced their visitation rate to the site in comparison to wolves fitted with collars that lacked the electric shocking device. No effect remained once the electric treatement ceased, suggesting there was no association made between the shock and the bait.
